The TAINY GMOD-S3 replaces a traditional AT-controlled switched line or leased line modem, allowing applications to communicate with a control center or among one another bi-directionally via GPRS while keeping costs to a minimum.
A serial RS232 interface makes it possible to easily integrate this GPRS modem into existing technical infrastructures. Regardless of the operating system used by the application, this GPRS modem uses TCP/IP networks for communication.
Incoming as well as outgoing GSM/CSD data calls are supported.
Low-cost billing based on data volume (GPRS)
Switched line operation: Eliminates time-consuming dial-ups
Leased line operation: Enable use of real time data
High flexibility regarding installation locations
No fixed IP address required
Easy installation and mounting
High connection availability and stability
Display of GPRS network, signal strength and connection via LEDs
