IFA Berlin Sagemcom presents its vision of the projection market






At the IFA Berlin 2014 exhibition – Sagemcom, the French high-tech group focusing on the broadband sector, energy metering and retail, reveals its new range of PicoPix pocket projectors and its Screeneo home projectors. These new product references are sold under the Philips brand and represent the outcome of an innovative strategy targeting the projection market.

Sagemcom is present on the Philips stand (Hall 22), and takes full advantage of this key event for international consumer electronics in order to reveal the new projectors, Screeneo and PicoPix, whose performances have been improved to offer superior image quality.

The IFA also provides Sagemcom with the opportunity to showcase its innovative strategy dedicated to projection and future lines of development. Since 2011 and the launch of the initial Philips PicoPix pocket projectors, Sagemcom has underlined why the firm stands out on the projection market in terms of technology and strategy. With products dedicated to the mobility and content sharing requirements of consumers.

New Screeneo product references

Philips Screeneo is an ultra-short throw LED projector. When placed just a few centimetres from any wall, this projector can provide a 50’’ - 100’’ HD image, as preferred by the user. The Screeneo is equipped with a Dolby Digital 2.1 audio system, a DVB-T tuner and a multi-media player, offering total immersion in the action of a movie, the football finals, or video games.

Thanks to its multiple connections (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HDMI, etc.) and its Miracast functionality, Screeneo can project multi-media content saved on a tablet, smartphone, game console, etc.



From September, four new product references will be added to the range of Screeneo LED projectors (HDP 1650 TV, HDP 1650, HDP 1690TV and HDP 1690), featuring ProGleam engine and NaturaColor technologies, for greater luminosity and images with even brighter colours. With a time lag effect of < 17ms, Screeneo is the perfect companion for console players, looking for big gaming experience.



An Air Mouse remote control with a QWERTY keyboard will also be available in order to simplify initial use and browsing through the menus or on the Internet.

Again Philips Screeneo has been an award winning product, such as the iF Product Design Award 2014, acknowledging its innovative design which will fit just nicely in all homes, or the second position for the Preview Award for innovation – IFA 2014.

New PicoPix product references

Sagemcom, leader on the European pocket projector market, with over 70% of market share*, has added new references to its PicoPix range. The new Philips PicoPix are ultra-compact and standalone (integrated battery) LED projectors, featuring the SmartEngine. This technology is offering solid image quality and bright colours. PicoPix projectors can connect to any device: smartphone, camera, tablet, games console, etc. and project your digital HD content (images, videos, professional presentations, etc.) with a diagonal size of up to 3 m, at any time, at home, the office or on the Go.

The PPX 3514 – Business Edition – is the new addition to the range of PicoPix pocket projectors, truly reflecting our projection know-how and market strategy. Thanks to its light power of 140 lumens, its fine lines, the many accessories supplied (carry bag, car charger, base, HDMI and USB cables, etc.) and its Office Viewer function, the PPX 3514 will become an indispensable tool for successful and persuasive professional presentations.

Sagemcom has also added three new product references to its range of PicoPix pocket projectors: PPX 3411, PPX 3414 and PPX 3614, featuring, depending on the model, luminosity between 110 and 140 lumens, an integrated battery and sound bar, an internal memory of 4 Gb, many connections (HDMI, USB, SD card, etc.), Wi-Fi and even DLNA, etc. offering each user a wide range of possibilities for the distribution of photos, videos, games, etc.
