SAGEMCOM’S XMEDIUSFAXTM 7.0 APPLICATION HAS BEEN CERTIFIED ON CISCO’S UNIFIED COMMUNICATION MANAGER 9.1 AND CISCO’S UNITY CONNECTION 9.0

Montreal, Canada – 06, 05, 2013 – To take advantage of the benefits of the expanding role of the network, Sagemcom today announced that its XMediusFAX 7.0 (http://xmediusfax.sagemcom.com/) has successfully completed interoperability verification testing* with Cisco’s Unified Communication Manager 9.1 and Cisco’s Unity Connection 9.0.

Cisco Unified Communications Manager (UMC) is an enterprise-class IP telephony call-processing system that provides traditional telephony features as well as premium voice, video, mobility, messaging, conferencing, instant messaging, presence, and contact center features on a single, integrated platform. However, while it supports the T.38 Fax-over-IP transport protocol, exchanging faxes requires a third-party program, such as Sagemcom’s XMediusFAX.

Cisco Unity Connection (UC) provides integrated messaging to help them handle messages with voice commands and stay abreast of all communications using their phone, their PC, or both.

XMediusFAXTM 7.0 helps businesses leverage their IP network and IP telephony investments, such as those made in Cisco Unified Communication Manager 9.1 and Unity Connection 9.0 by allowing users to easily and securely exchange orders, records, reports, and confidential documents. XMediusFAXTM 7.0 securely integrates with popular Microsoft Office products, ERP and CRM applications. Companies employing BYOD environments (Bring Your Own Device) can utilize XMediusFAXTM 7.0 as it offers client options for Windows, MAC, and nearly every other computing environment.

The bundling of XMediusFAXTM 7.0 with Cisco’s Unified Communication Manager 9.1 and Cisco’s Unity Connection 9.0 means that all existing and new Cisco UC customers can have a powerful Fax over IP platform fully integrated with their Unified Communication environment.

“Large enterprises and SMB users will immediately realize the benefits of the latest version of our faxing solution combined with the enhanced collaboration, video, and mobility features of Cisco’s Unified Communication Manager 9.1 and Cisco’s Unity Connection 9.0.”, stated Jean Champagne, General Manager Sagemcom Canada.
