With its many years of experience and high-profile deployments the world over, Sagemcom now proposes a new range of ultrasonic water meters. Sagemcom can call on its innovative technology to design premium quality meters with all the required technical certifications (taking into account the requirements of each country). They are innovative products that meet market requirements and integrate perfectly into existing environments. This is the solution provided by Sagemcom with Siconia® water meters.

An offer based on four RF protocols

Sagemcom offers an end-to-end solution to support customers developing and deploying smart water meters and communication networks. Our group has excelled in telecommunications technologies for several decades and, thanks to our expertise, we can offer end-to-end solutions that combine metering technologies, communication networks and systems to display the data collected.

Sagemcom’s offer is based on three types of RF communication: LoRaWAN, Wireless M-Bus, NB-IoT and Wize. A solution that simultaneously supports WMBus and LoRaWAN™ is also available.

Our Android application solution

The SICONIA® Water WM meters have a local interface to take readings, to start up the system and for diagnostics. Meter readings are taken with a standard Android smartphone (software version 9 or higher) and a dedicated Sagemcom application.

This application is used to access the following information:

All the internal data as displayed on the LCD screen
All the historical data
The settings (authorised users only)
Modification of the operating mode of the meter

Data visualization

Siconia ZFA platform:

The Siconia ZFA platform is used for meter management and allows the visualization of meter status and data.

Our ZFA solution enables the monitoring per customer of the water consumption as illustrated in the following screenshots.

These views are available from Internet for the customers by using a standard Internet navigator.

We also can monitor the effective rate of data collection as illustrated in the following view.

We also can prepare reports about data collection and so on.

End-to-end security

One of Sagemcom's priorities is the security of its meters and consequently of its customers' meters.

To guarantee this security, Sagemcom has implemented several actions.

First, the data transmission is fully encrypted using the AES 128 protocol, regardless of the communication protocol being used.

Then, Sagemcom relies on the ISO 27001 standard to guarantee the confidentiality of information relating to key exchanges with Sagemcom employees and delivers the keywords to the customer using a secure method.

Finally, Sagemcom offers additional protection to meters using LoRaWAN^TM communication.
